So @GA Russell on the MobileRead forums posted a Radio Archives sale e-magazine containing, among other things, a short story by William Campbell Gault. And that reminded me that I read a bunch of Gault’s Brock (The Rock) Callahan books many years (decades) ago, and have fond but faded memories of them. But I kind of wonder how they’ve stood up to time…
So then I went and looked, and three of the books from the middle of the Callahan series are $1.99 each right now at Kindle US, and most of them look as if they go on sale a lot – they are, after all, Open Road/Mysterious Press titles. OTOH, a few of the books in the series are e-pubbed by Prologue Books, and also look as if they go on sale from time to time, but not nearly as often. But the Prologue ones are KU, if you have that, and/or are only $3.99 even when not on sale, which is not terrible. So I’m going to re-read the first one, Murder in the Raw (apa Ring Around Rosa), after an insanely long time, and see if I still like the series…

Come Die with Me is the fourth in the Brock Callahan series, even though its webpage says it’s the first. (It only says that because it’s the first one that Open Road/Mysterious Press publish, since Prologue Books have the others…)
In any case, although Open Road books tend to go on sale a lot (see above), they usually go on sale for $1.99, or even, if you’re lucky, $0.99. But, Come Die with Me is now on sale for only $0.50 at Kindle US. Which is unusual enough that I thought it deserved a post of its own 😀.

Dead Pigeon is the fourteenth and last in William Campbell Gault’s Brock Callahan series. (Don’t believe the series stuff that says it’s the seventh of seven – it’s just the seventh of seven e-pubbed by that publisher…) It’s $0.50 right now at Kindle US.
