I read and very much liked Susanne Alleyn’s short four-book Aristide Ravel series many years ago, in paperback book days, when they were expensive and hard to find. Granted, I love historical mysteries, and I also tend to like mysteries set in France, so these hit on two dimensions, but they are also pretty well rated on Kindle and Goodreads. And now the books in the series are on sale and/or free in the US and UK.
But not uniformly across all platforms 😒, so…
At Kindle US, the first book is $0.99 and the remaining three are $2.99 each. Here’s a link to the series webpage.
Similarly, at Kindle UK, the first book is £0.99 and the remaining three are £2.30 each. Here’s a link to that series webpage.
At Kobo US, only the first book, The Cavalier of the Apocalypse, is FREE, but the remaining three are not on sale.
And at Kobo UK, the first book is also FREE, and the fourth book, A Treasury of Regrets, is on sale for £2.99, but discountable if you have Kobo VIP or a coupon.
Oh, and if you’re curious, the second book is titled Palace of Justice, and the third book is Game of Patience. And if I were you, I’d grab the first one for free at Kobo, and try it to see if I like it. And then grab the others before they go back up in price…
