Take Out is the ninth and final book in Margaret Maron‘s shorter, and, I suspect, lesser known, Sigrid Harald series. It was published after a decades long gap – 1995 to 2017, although Harald did appear in a couple of Deborah Knott titles. It wrapped up, or maybe a better expression would be that it finalized, the story line around the death of Harald’s lover, Oscar Nauman, that was left somewhat unfinished in the previous book, Fugitive Colors. Take Out is on sale right now at Kindle US for $1.99, but sadly not at Kobo US, at least as of now.
