Aaron Elkins is, I think, best known for his wildly enjoyable IMO Gideon Oliver (forensic anthropology) series. But back in the late 1980s and early 1990s he wrote a short three book art-based series, the Chris Norgren series, which I also really liked. And right now the second and third books in the series are only $1.99 each in the US.
A Glancing Light, #2: buy at Kindle US | Kobo US, not on sale right now
Old Scores, #3: Buy at Kindle US | Kobo US (discountable)
Note also that coupon code “Partners22” is still working at Kobo US for 40% off, which makes Old Scores super-affordable.
No idea whey the first one isn’t on sale too, but I’ll keep an eye out for it, and post it here when I see it…
Old Scores, which is the third Chris Norgren book, is on sale at Kindle UK for £1.59. Per SYKM, it was the 1993 Nero Award winner, and was a finalist for the 1993 Agatha Award for Best Novel.

A Glancing Light is the second in Aaron Elkins’ too-short IMO Chris Norgren series. It’s on sale right now for $0.99/£0.89 in the US/UK, and it’s discountable at Kobo. These are Open Road titles, but typically go on sale at $1.99, not $0.99, so I thought I’d post the lower price…
