Wounded Tigris: A River Journey Through the Cradle of Civilization, by Leon McCarron, is on sale today for $1.99 as part of the US Kindle Daily Deal, and price-matched at Kobo US. I haven’t read this, but it looks pretty interesting and has decent GoodReads ratings, and I tend to like this sort of “journey today through an historical region” book. (GoodReads reviews do indicate there’s a lot of modern day ecology in it, as well as historical stuff…)
